A tutorial for easily hacking a CCTV camera.
Step 1: Download and install Angry IP Scanner > https://angryip.org/.
Step 2: Select IP Address Range. It is critical to understand how to choose the appropriate IP address range for CCTV camera hacking. CCTV cameras are connected to a broadband internet connection. If you are using a broadband router, find your public IP address. Simply type 'My IP' into Google > https://www.google.com/search?q=what+is+...=977&dpr=1.
My IP address is: 77.247.181.165. So the IP range can be 77.247.181.1 to 77.247.181.255, or 77.247.181.1 to 77.247.185.255.
Step 3: Configure the Angry IP scanner.
Go to Tools > Preferences > Ports | add ports 80, 8080, 23 in the Port Selection tab.
We need to add web detect. Web detect can provide brief details about devices connected to the internet. like the following:
1. Name of the CCTV camera model.
2. CCTV camera name
3. Router name or model name
Add web detection as follows. Navigate to Tools > Fetchers > Add (<<) web detect.
Step 4: Start IP Scanning Add an IP range in the Ip range tab and click Start.
After scanning is finished, you will find interesting information in the web detect tab. Some examples are as follows.
1.RomPager/4.07, UPnP/1.0 router
2.uchttpd 1.0.0 – CCTV camera
3.DVRDVSWebs - CCTV camera
4. microhttpd-based router
5. Webs - CCTV camera.
6. Hikvision Webs - CCTV camera.
7.iBall-Baton CCTV camera
Copy the IP address of the detected CCTV camera and pest and enter it into your browser.
Step 5: Default Username and Password. Most CCTV cameras and routers use the default username and password. example
Username: admin, password: admin
Username: admin | Password: [blank password]
Username: admin; Password: 12345
Username: admin; Password: 9999
You can find a list of default usernames and passwords by searching on Google. Some CCTV cameras require a plugin, which you can download from the same page. If the plugin is not found on the same page, visit the manufacturer's website and download it.
Step 6: Crack the CCTV Camera Password Using Hydra If the default password does not work, we will need to crack it. Hydra is a powerful brute-force tool that can crack CCTV camera passwords.
[Note: There are hundreds of bruteforcing tools available, including hashcatocl, but we'll focus on Hydra because it's our favorite.]
Now start kali root@DeepHack:~# hydra s 80 l admin —P /root/Desktop/wl/cctvpass.txt e ns t 16 targetIP http
Hydra syntax: -s 80 to specify the port number -l admin to set the default login name -P /root/desktop/worldlist.txt -- Select your word list for brute force. -e --- empty password ns --- try login as password, then try empty password http --- port name for attack.
